For 64 bit OS

  • Next, type CD windows/syswow64/ and press Enter. Once you reach syswow64, you need to type regsvr32 MSXML6.dll and press the Enter key.

  • Finally, try to reinstall QuickBooks.

For 32 bit OS

  • Press the Windows and R buttons to open the RUN command.

  • Enter “CMD” in the text field and press Enter.

  • Now, type “regsvr32 MSXML6.dll” and press Enter. Finally, install QuickBooks Desktop.

Solution 6- Download and Install the Adobe Flash Player again

  • Download and run the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool.

  • Now click on the Start menu and type Control Panel to open it.

  • Select Adobe Flash Player ActiveX from the list of programs and choose Uninstall.

  • Open File Explorer, and here you need to find C:\Program Files\Common Files.

  • Right-click on the ‘Common Files ‘folder and then select the ‘Properties ‘option.

  • To proceed further, navigate and select the Security tab, click on Edit.

  • Select the user from the ‘Group or user name ‘section.

  • Now check the following permissions in the ‘Permissions for users ‘section: Modify, Read and execute, List folder contents, Read, Write.

  • Finally, click Apply and then OK to confirm the changes you have made. Then reinstall QuickBooks in your system.

Solution 8- Use QBVersionTool.dll

  • Open the Windows Search menu and type notepad to find it and open it.

  • Type QBTest in Notepad and then save the note to one of these two locations: “C:\Program Files\Common Files” or “C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files“.

  • If you are unable to save it, you may need to sign in and install QB as an administrator.

  • Go to the Windows Start menu and select the Sign-out option.

  • Sign in and proceed by selecting the administrator account. Make sure there is no password.

  • Finish installing QB as an administrator.
